First Inhabited Island Disappears Print E-mail
Tuesday, 26 December 2006

Who knew it would be so soon?

Yes, the first island inhabited by humans has disappeared due to global warming. 10,000 people were forced to migrate due to rising sea levels.

And last week, it was announced that bears in Spain have stopped hibernating. (Yeah, right... who knew there were bears in Spain??)

While I sometimes wonder if Western cultural inertia will ever be overcome enough to stop g.w. from getting more out of hand, that hasn't stopped me from acting -- I've permanently sworn off flying -- I will never get on another airplane until they're pollution free.

What are you going to do to make a radical change to stop climate change? Write with your radical suggestions.
